WOW!

THANKS for your part in service, fellowship, worship, and witness as part of the Church of Jesus in Topeka!

  THANK YOU for participating and praying for this joint outreach!  Now, the continued prayer and engagement of follow-up begins!

  At least THIRTY TFN-ers got their elbow grease on and partnered with many from Wanamaker Woods, Fairlawn, Family LIfe, Oakland, New Life - Holton, Christian Neighborhood Center, Food for Life, Bread of Life, and others as we teamed together with Convoy of Hope to BLESS OUR COMMUNITIES!

  Patience in action, consideration of others, generosity of resources, faithfulness in commitment, and the LOVE OF JESUS were evident as we all learned and served together!  As the Psalm from this past Sunday declared:

Psalm 133 - A song of ascents. Of David.

1 How good and pleasant it is
    when God’s people live together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
    running down on the beard,
    running down on Aaron’s beard,
    down on the collar of his robe.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
    were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
    even life forevermore.

The work, worship, and witness were PRECiOUS and a BLESSING ... for us and for those who received Jesus' ministry on Sunday afternoon through you & Family Life Church!

 Though MUCH can be shared about our Spirit-filled, informed, and led worship and our joyfully encouraging (and tasty) fellowship dinner, the Church of Jesus was at its best when SIXTY PLUS boxes of various small nutritional and personal use items were poured into people's lives.  Most importantly,

  • You extended the grace and love of Jesus by being willling vessels through whom Jesus loved individuals, and
  • You shared The Spirit IN you Who touched those people with whom you spoke, even when they were not receptive, and especially, when they were open to conversation and your offer for prayer with them.

BLESS YOU for being Jesus to the world around us!

  Even though formal follow-up is just beginning, God has already brought MUCH more fruit than we can see with our eyes.  The GREAT HOPE with which this outreach was planned has not disappointed!  Oh, everything was not perfect ... by far, it was not perfect.  However, The Perfect Lord always manuevers His Holiness in the context of our broken surrender and He does the things we never could do.  So, THANK YOU for praying, THANK YOU for partnering, THANK YOU for serving, and THANK YOU for being the Light of Jesus to one another, to our brothers & sisters in our Churches in this area, and particularly, to our immediate community around TFN! 

  May God continue to bless and call us to greater works of unity!

  May God continue to bless Convoy of Hope in their mission of ministry!

  May our lights continue to so shine before men & women, boys & girls, that they see the goodness of God living in you and through you .... and therefore, come to PRAISE our, and we pray eventually their, Father in Heaven!
