We are all grieved by the devastation in Texas and particularly, the loss of life, young life at that.  Though we have no congregations in the immediate area of the flooding, our Nazarene Compassionate Ministries has provided this update:

We are heartbroken by the loss of life caused by the recent flooding in the Hill Country region of Texas. While the Church of the Nazarene does not currently have a congregation in the immediate area, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) is actively supporting partner organizations that are responding to the crisis.

NCM is collaborating with Convoy of Hope and other churches to distribute Crisis Care Kits and provide chaplaincy support. A Nazarene church facility is being used to house chaplains serving in the area. We are also in communication with Nazarene districts across Texas to assess ongoing needs and determine how we can further assist.

At this time, a designated giving link specific to this response has not been created. However, donations can be made to the NCM Emergency Relief Fund, found via this LINK.

Should a broader response be required, funds from this account will be used to support those efforts.

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of all who are impacted.

Locally, if you wish to make any monetary donations to help support relief, Convoy of Hope is receiving donations for the immediate purpose of assistance in Texas; you can access their donation page and learn about them by clicking HERE.  Other organizations are certainly doing the same.  We can and will continue to PRAY for the bereaved, the missing & their families, the broken, the dispondent, the rescuers, the rebuilders, the leaders, and everyone else whom God places on our minds.
