  Our 7 Topeka churches & 2 preaching points will be joined by our Holton church and another handful of compassionate ministries to BLESS our communities!

  We are partnering with CONVOY of HOPE to be trained to have a compassion mindset and to distribute at least one tractor-trailer load of food!

  Due to logistical matters, the host location has been moved to Wanamaker Woods Church.  However, we will still have a joint service & fellowship meal with Family Life Church; we may also do some joint outreach/BLESSING ministry on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 24th!  The plans for August 23rd are solid BUT the schedule & some logistical details have changed!  The worship & meal plans for August 24th are firm but any distribution ministry will depend upon remaining, unknown factors.  Here are the details:

WHAT:         Convoy of Hope Compassion Evangelism Training & Food Distribution to Church & Compassionate Ministries

WHEN:         Saturday, Aug. 23rd @ 9 a.m.

WHERE:      Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene

  • 8:00 a.m. - Early unload of semi (The volunteer team is already set for this effort.)
  • 9:00 a.m. - Evangelism Training & Light Breakfast
  • 10:30 a.m. - Distribution of bulk food boxes to each church & ministry
  • Return to church/ministry locations to sort/distribute food

PICK-UP Trucks, Vans, & SUVs are NEEDED to bring food boxes back to TFN!

Details of the bulk food distribution will involve 12 - 13 churches & compassionate ministries driving through 2 rows of bulk food pallets. Each church/ministry will receive equal amounts of the bulk food to take back to their ministry locations for sorting and distribution as each has planned.

 

WHAT:         Joint Worship Celebration & Fellowship Meal

WHEN:         Sunday, Aug. 24th @ 10:45 a.m.

WHERE:      HERE @ Home ... TFN

For this meal: Roasted/Smoked Meats & Drinks will be provided.

    Help make a FULL Menu by BRINGING sides, salads, & desserts.

Family Life Members will be bringing the same as well.

For parking considerations of our guests, if you are able to walk the distance, park in either DoorStep's or Penwell-Gabel's lot.

Joint food distribution is being considered with Family Life church on the 24th.

  This joint outreach has been planned with GREAT HOPE!  THANK YOU for volunteering! There is still plenty of opportunities to help on both days - the MORE the MERRIER, and there will certainly be areas of need that arise.  At present, the GREATEST NEED will be at TFN to unload & sort the bulk food boxes; the bulk food boxes will hopefully arrive at TFN between 10:45 and 11:30.
